Holiday Road

So I’m finally getting around to putting something up here.

Yesterday we began our outrageous quest to get to Florida (Key West) from our home in NJ.  Doesn’t sound like much until you realize that there are 4 of us including 1-16year old and 1-21month old. This is going to be a long trip.

Last night we ran into white-out type conditions on I-95 in VA so we had to stop for the night.  We stopped just outside of Fredricksburg, VA at a nice Wingate Inn.  Great place, would recommend it to anyone at this point.

Had to complete some overdue work.  For the sake of completeness, I work for the services arm of a very large software company.  So I had a proposal that needed to go out.  This isn’t going to really be much of a vacation for me since I will be working until Christmas, just remotely

Anyway, its morning, the weather has cleared and we are off again (begin chorus of "Holiday Road").

About scavali

Almost 30 years of Information Technology experience, including 15 with Microsoft Services and Sales to some of the largest and smallest companies in the world, give me some unique perspective on the technology industry as a whole. After spending some time as the Unified Communications Practice Manager for Janalent (2 time UC Worldwide Partner of the Year in 2009 and 2010) and a Solutions Principal with EMC, I am now the Director for VMware Professional Services EUC Pre-sales Architects. Combine that with my passion for photography, scuba diving, all things Key West, my time volunteering with the Madison, NJ Fire Department and my new home in the area of San Diego, CA, you will find an eccletic combination of thoughts and experiences conveyed on this blog. Please contribute, I value people's productive feedback.
